Outer Banks Ocean Rescue is a division of Outer Banks Water Safety, providing contracted ocean rescue and water safety services for the Town of Duck, North Carolina. Our professional lifeguard team is dedicated to protecting residents and visitors through vigilant beach surveillance, rapid emergency response, and proactive public education. With a deep respect for the power of the ocean and the unique conditions of the Outer Banks, we operate with a strong emphasis on professionalism, teamwork, and preparedness. Our mission is to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable beach experience while maintaining the highest standards of coastal safety.

Beach Safety

We patrol the beaches of the Town of Duck between May 1 and October 31. We maintain lifeguard stands at various locations throughout the summer in addition to ATV and truck patrols. These locations include the following:
